I wanted to share a recent accomplishment made by my Search Engine Optimization company Search Optimizers. If you know me well you know that I am not one to solicit – I usually don’t offer my opinion unless I am asked for it. In this case I am so blown away by this accomplishment that I feel I would be doing you and your business a disservice by not sharing it. My goal is to illustrate the sheer power of organic Search Engine Optimization as it relates to finding an audience for your business.

As of yesterday we just got one of our clients ranked #1 for the phrase “dance school” in Google – have a look, just type dance school in Google and you will see my client International Dance Academy in the #1 spot. We had to beat out 55,399,999 other websites to get to #1. This is a term searched 823,000 times a month per Google and is considered a gold mine phrase because it is so GENERAL – it gives you access to a worldwide audience. In March of this year I watched our traffic go from 30,000 unique visitors a month to 936,933 literally OVERNIGHT!! Ask me to show you the proof, I would love to!!! This is a HUGE accomplishment of almost biblical proportions because my clients URL does not even include the words DANCE or SCHOOL and has only been in existence for 2 years. Now they rank higher than Juilliard one of the most respected and oldest dance schools in existence!!! This is truly amazing – at $500 per month this service just paid for itself 100 times over in exposure and new clientele, don’t get me started on how that compares to cost per impression of other forms of advertisement such as outdoor, radio, or TV.

Here is why organic SEO is so much more effective – people ask a question, Google gives an answer - #1 rank being their best effort, 99.9% of people visit Google’s first choice or #1 rank because they know it’s Google’s best effort – Google has earned that trust for you. People will visit Google’s #1 choice over a PAID advertisement every time because they did not ASK for the paid options. The user’s paradigm is that the #1 organic result is non-threatening and never perceived as a sales pitch from Google. This is why organic rankings specifically the #1 spot is so much more effective than paid advertisements, I would say this is my opinion, but this is a proven fact.

Realistically there are less than a handful of people on EARTH that can get someone who has been in business for 2 years ranked #1 for a phrase as general as “DANCE SCHOOL” while not breaking any of Google’s “Laws”. Every company has their own technique and secrets which are never truly shared and viciously guarded. All you can do is work with someone who has a proven track record. The accomplishment above is merely the tip of the iceberg, I have testimonial after testimonial of people whose businesses have been transformed by this service. One specific surf school that went from 6 clients to owning a resort in Costa Rica. I view the current status of search engine rankings as digital real estate and we are in the middle of a new age land rush. There are only so many spots and Google gives much weight to the current King of the Mountain. Once you reach number 1 is pretty difficult to be knocked out as long as you keep optimizing.
